PNNF Update
Good morning to everyone,
Sorry it has been awhile since I have given an update, but it has been a really busy start to 2016 to say the least.
January 6th 2016 was our official 1 year anniversary from when we became an IRS recognized 501(c)3 and we have started off strong getting even stronger this year. In 2015 we managed to assist 4 separate pre hospital care providers through our “ Fill the Fridge “ initiative that were injured while working and still home healing up, unable to provider for their families. With our continued commitment to assisting EMS personnel we are proud to announce our new EMT Scholarship fund and the “ Jim and Judi Alexander Memorial Scholarship” sponsored by the Primum Non Nocere Foundation. This scholarship is named in memory for two individuals that were dedicated to EMS and also the parents of one of the foundations Board of Directors Ted Rawley. We will be giving a minimum of one (1) $300 scholarship to a recent EMT student who has been selected by our BOD and has successfully graduated a certified program within the NYC area. The scholarship(s) will be awarded on May 21st at the end of EMS week 2016 at our first official Primum Non Nocere Foundation support gathering. Our goal is to increase not only the amount of money per scholarship but how many we can award each year as our foundation and supported grow.
To help us continue with our vision of helping members of the EMS community while in need we have a couple of fund raising projects currently available. We have our Primum Non Nocere Foundation patch (see attached photo) for a donation of $6 and our new 50/50 Progressive Raffle ( see attached photo ) where one (1) winner will receive 1/2 of all moneys collected from April 1st to May 21st 2016. All donations will be used directly to help support the foundation and its endeavors to assist EMS providers in times of need and crisis.
For further information on Primum Non Nocere Foundation, our patch or raffle purchase or joining us on May 21st 2016 for our first official foundation gathering please reach out to one of our Board of Directors or myself.
